Released: 2007
Persona 3 (ペルソナ3) is the fourth game in Persona spin-off series of Shin Megami Tensei from Atlus.
Persona 3
Persona 3 was released in 2006 in Japan, 2007 in the US, and 2008 in Europe and Australia. In the game, the player takes on the role of a high-school student who joins the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (SEES) to investigate the Dark Hour.
The player enters a massive tower, Tartarus, and fights against Shadows that feed off the minds of humans. The SEES characters can summon Personas, a manifestation of their inner selves. As with other Shin Megami Tensie games, enemies can be negotiated with to become Personas.
The game had a controvertial release because of the opening video where students use an Evoker, a gun-shaped tool, to blow open their minds and release Personas.
Persona 3 FES
Persona 3 FES was an add-on for Persona 3 that included a new epilogue where the player controls Algis. It added new content to the game (“The Journey, ” “Episode Yourself,” and “The Answer.”
